Malta International Airport (MLA): Approximate driving time to the Panorama Hotel is 40 minutes and distance is 40 kilometres (25 miles).
Getting there: A fixed rate taxi service operates from the airport to towns all over the island. The fare is 30 directly to the hotel. A taxi desk is located in the Arrivals hall where pre-paid tickets may be purchased. Alternatively, the number 8 bus departs from the airport every 20 minutes to the main bus terminus in Valletta. From Valletta, take the number 45 bus to Mellieha Bay. Price subject to change.
Getting around: There is a good network of regional and local buses that connects Mellieha to the rest of Malta. A one-day bus ticket for unlimited travel costs MTL 1.50. A car is useful for exploring the less touristy areas of the island. Gozo can be explored on foot, by bicycle, or using the island’s network of buses which all depart from the main terminal in Victoria. There are ferries and high-speed catamaran services from Gozo to Malta (Valletta). Price subject to change.
